Hi I currently have a CCME connected to my Option81 Meridian system VIA E&M, they are not that reliable so i would like to connect using E1. Has anyone done this? I have a 1760 router running CCME and I am not sure on the hardware that I would need at either end and what the best protocol would be, I am assuming Q931.

you can use a VWIC-2MFT-E1 card or the likes. you can put this into your 1760 if you have the slot available. if not, another router will be required. (requires ISO 12.2(4)YB +)
see the following link for 1700 VWIC support:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/prod_bulletin09186a00800920eb.html
you can use E1-CAS R2, CCS signaling/Qsig (q931).
create this as a tie trunk from your Meridian.
see the following link for more PBX trunking support config info: (also a link for overall CME config guides)
you may also want to look into cisco PTC (packet telephony center) for some solution guidance; this is more for the ISP side so you may not want/need.
