Connectin 3640 to IPC Tradenet System

I am currently in the works of connecting an IPC Tradenet system to a 3640 for VoIP connectivity. Anyone come across this before?

I was told the IPC system uses one clear channel DS0 for:

1. proprietary signaling

2. handling initialazation

3. exchange list of lines

4. exchange line status

5. manage network call

The T1 connection from IPC to the 3640 is

Linecode=B8ZS

Framing=ESF

No FDL

No Robbed Signaling Bits

uses a 'P' channel, any DS0 Clear channel (CCS)

no echo cancellation

For the voice channels

The 23 DS0's must be channelized. Echo cancellation is required on both ends.

I would assume I would use external signaling when defining the ds0-groups, one for each channel. But how do I map the voice channels to the IP side? Has anyone done this before?

So are you going to have an IPC Tradenet system on either end of the IP network, each connected to the high density voice card (NM-HDV) in a router on each side?

If that is the case, you would need to use the T-CCS (Transparent CCS) feature for VoIP.

Also, here is another doc which has an example of using connection trunk which is part of what you will have to do. In their example they are signaling with e&m-wink-start but as you mentioned you would use type ext-sig
