Definity support dcs, and Uniform dialing plan, so you just dial, say 4-digit to reach extensions on other PBX. Can I do this between two PBX, one is, say Definity and another is NEC. Can I trunking these two PBXs using Q.Sig supported by cisco routers or switches. If yes, what kind of trunk card do I need for both PBXs?.............

Thanks,

Typically the best way to tie two PBX's together is by using T-1 (DS-1) cards in each PBX and connecting them to channelized T-1 VWIC's in the routers. You can also use E&M Tie Trunk cards in the PBX's and E&M VIC's in the router. As far as QSIG, the Definity will support it but you check with your NEC vendor to make sure the model of NEC you have will suppport it and to what level. Some only support basic QSIG and not supplementary services.
