CqallManager Cluster (redundancy + Distributed Call Processing)

Hi All.

I'm trying to implement redundant and call distributed scheme with 2 CallManagers (publisher and subscriber) and MGCP gateways.

My test environment contains

2 CCMs (CCM1 - Publisher and CCM2 - Subscriber), all are 4.1(3) on a MCS servers

MGCP gateway - Cisco2851 which also acts as a DHCP server.

DHCP is configured with 2 instances of option 150

----------------------------------------

ip dhcp pool IP_TEST_PHONES

network 10.100.1.0 255.255.255.224

default-router 10.100.1.1

option 150 instance 1 ip 10.0.5.2 (CCM1)

option 150 instance 2 ip 10.0.5.3 (CCM2)

----------------------------------------

There are 2 CCM groups: Group 1 with CCM1 as primary and CCM2 as secondary, Group-2 with CCM2 as primary and CCM1 as secondary.

2 device pools LAN-1 and LAN-2 with appropriative CallManager group are configured.

IP phone1 (7912) is a member of device pool LAN-1, IP phone2 (7912) is a member of device pool LAN-2.

These Services are activated on CCM2 (Subscriber).

Cisco CallManager

Cisco Tftp

Cisco IP Voice Media Streaming App

Cisco RIS Data Collector

Cisco Database Layer Monitor

Cisco Serviceability Reporter

Issue #1 - All phones, nevertheless of device pool membership are registered only on CCM1 (publisher).

Issue #2 - TFTP Server2 and CallManager2 doesn't appear in IP phone config

Issue #3 (depends on #2) -

When I'm shutting down CCM1 IP phones begins an infinite cycle of registering on CCM1 and don't try to register on CCM2.

Please explain me what's wrong in my config or please give me a link onto a good documentation about CallManager redundancy.

TFTP Server2 and CallManager2 doesn't appear in IP phone config

This is when you verify the .cnf.xml file under TFTPPAth?

Try restarting TFTP service.

Also configure under CCMAdmin|System|Server the IP address of CCMs not NAMEs.

If you try using a DP which includes only the CCM2 it works?

I would apply the latest SR since in 4.1.3 we had some problems with config file size.

Re: CqallManager Cluster (redundancy + Distributed Call Processi

Thank you.

I've entered IP addresses on CCMAdmin|System|Server.

Then I've rebooted servers and phones.

Phones that belongs via Device Pool and CallManager group to CCM1 would become registered on CCM1.

Phones that belongs via Device Pool and CallManager group to CCM2 would become registered on CCM2.

In the phone's config CCM1, CCM2 and SRTS device have been appeared.
