What do I need to allow the agents to chat to each other and the supervisor to chat and one day the customers chat with the agents. Any help would be welcome.

For agents to communicate they need to be conference. Check
for more details. Chatting to supervisor is possible without any configuration required

To allow customers to interact via chat with your agents you will need to research Cisco's Collaboration Server Software. This will allow you to have a sort of "Click to chat" button on your website and the next available agent will assist them.
