cRTP or ecRTP

Guys,

When enableing cRTP on a serial link, is is enabling which of the above?

If it is just cRTP, can you enable ecRTP yet on Cisco IOS?

Hi. Ken,

As ietf-format compression is not yet available on Frame Relay encapsulation ECRTP will not be available on Frame Relay in the first instance. It will be supported on HDLC and PPP encapsulations.Cisco does support ecCRTP with the latest version of IOS with the above limitation.

The software that would have the support is not release yet. But it would be in the 5th release of 12.3 (12.3(PI_5)T.

You are enabling cRTP. ecRTP is not yet supported in IOS.
