CTI Manager Errors

Hi

I am running CM 3.3.3 SR 2. I keep getting the following error in my app log.

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Cisco CTIManager

Event Category: None

Event ID: 3

Date: 11/10/2003

Time: 1:23:57 PM

User: N/A

Computer: <Publisher Name>

Description:

Error: kCtiProviderOpenFailure - CTI application failed to open provider

CTIconnectionId: 24653

Login User Id: ac

UNKNOWN_PARAMNAME:ReasonCode: 2362179680

IPAddress: <Subscriber IP>

App ID: Cisco CTIManager

Cluster ID: <ClusterName)-Cluster

Node ID: <Publisher IP>

Explanation: Application is unable to open provider.

Recommended Action: Check the reason code and correct the problem. Restart CTIManager if problem persists..

I am not running Attendant console. To stop these errors I created an ac user and enabled cti use. This seems to have stopped the errors, but I would like to know why I was getting them in the first place.

Thanks

Frank

Re: CTI Manager Errors

Hi Frank,

ac user is a default user for TCD service. If you are not using Attendant Console or Web attendant you can simply disable TCD service and that should take care of the error message. TCD service are enable by default.

Hope that helps..

Re: CTI Manager Errors

I am getting same errors for one softphone user, after restarted CTI manager service the Softphone looks working 5-10 minutes then get the errors again and the Softphone showed up "out of service".

Actually the softphone was working properly before installed the CCM3.3(3) Sr2

Thanks in advance!

Re: CTI Manager Errors

Tommy,

This error means that device with IP 10.5.2.94 is trying to logon to the CTI server with user name 'trosamilia' and is unsuccessful. This could be a problem with CTI/JTAPI or the application that is running on the IP 10.5.2.94. Need to know what application is running on that address (it could be softphone, agent desktop, etc), traces that application.
