CTI route point shows up as unregistered"unknown"

Folks,

I created a CTI route point to point to Unity server, it's status shows up as "unknown", do i have to create a user and assiciate the user to the route-point for it to get registered with the call manager.

anything else i need to do, so that the route-point status changes from unknown to some encouraging status.

BTW call manager does route that route pattern assigned to the route point to unity as desired, just curious as to why the status says unknown.

Unless the route point is associated to any tapi or jtapi application, the status would remain unknown. The status would change to the "ip address of the application" when you associate the route point to a user which is used by the tapi or jtapi application.
