CUBE licensing still paper license ?

I have read several old article dating from 2010 saying that CUBE licenses are paper licenses

My client just purchased 300 Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE) licenses.

I want to make sure that in 2014 it's still a paper based license and that no installation is required on the CUBE router ?

Does somebody has recent experience with CUBE licensing ?

Yes, still paper license with no PAK.
