CUCM 7 - Autoregistration and Extension mobility

Hi,

We have to deploy 300 IP phones.

Customer uses "Extension Mobility" service and a profile has been created for all new users.

For the deployment, I want to use "Auto Registration" function. (More convenient for 1st level support given by customer himself)

Is there a solution to subscribe automatically to the "Extension Mobility" service and enable Extension Mobility on a phone registered in the CUCM 7.0 with "Auto Registration"?

I would like to have phone ready for login (ext mobility) once they are registered without having to use BAT tool.

Any suggestion?

auto-registration does not provide that, if you need to have the phones with EM use BAT

So, there is no way to manage only profiles without taking care about physical phone?

The idea was, in case of hardware failure, to just replace the phoneset and log on the new one with EM profile (can be done by a user without any access right on the CCM web page).

There is no solution to do that?

auto registration is only for the most basic config so a phone can make calls, advanced configurations need to be done manually or using BAT

replacing the phone needs access to CCMadmin, BAT or basic config via auto-registration.

so in his case he can't use bulk add phones with dummy mac addr then auto register them with TAPS so will need to get all mac addr of the 300 phones ?  would be very easy if it 'd possible to add phones w/ dummy mac and then let users to login w/ their extension mobility profiles...

If you want people to always use EM, you can just auto-register the phones with a basic config, and enable EM as an enterprise subscription.
