CUE - GDM's and Licensing

Good Day,

I'm running CUE 2.3.2 and have a question regarding licensing.

I currently have the allocated resources

Voicemail/Auto Attendant:

- Max system mailbox capacity time: 6000

- Default # of general delivery mailboxes: 10

- Default # of personal mailboxes: 25

- Max # of configurable mailboxes: 35

states that you can use the GDM's as personal mailboxes, my question is do you have to do anything specifically to reallocate the GDM's as personal mailboxes?

I believe I would just add a new personal mailbox and CUE would automatically create the new personal mailbox from the GDM's remaining licenses.

Any help would be appreciated. Normally I'd test this but not in my lab at the moment.

Hi Justin,

You are most correct :) You just can't change a Personal MB to a GDM and vise-versa, these have to be removed and reinstalled.

In Cisco Unity Express 2.1, only the "Total mailboxes" column is strictly controlled by the license and the system allows you to define any combination of personal mailboxes and GDMs as long as the aggregate number does not exceed the "Total mailboxes" column.
