CUE integrate with CallManager

Hi,

Anyone can help

I would like to know does my license supports for integration with Callmanager or CCME only ?

# sh software licenses

Installed license files:

- voicemail_lic.sig : 50 MAILBOX LICENSE

Core:

- Application mode: CCME

- Total usable system ports: 6

Voicemail/Auto Attendant:

- Max system mailbox capacity time: 840

- Default # of general delivery mailboxes: 15

- Default # of personal mailboxes: 50

- Max # of configurable mailboxes: 65

Interactive Voice Response:

- Max # of IVR ports: Not Available

Languages:

- Max installed languages: 2

- Max enabled languages: 1

I'm not sure it's a matter of license only or something else is different in software.

To be on the safe side I would replace image. The license cost is the same anyway and you're not defrauding anybody.

As Paolo nicely noted, are trying to use the wrong License file;

For Callmanager (which you need)

cue-vm-license_xxmbx_ccm_3.0.2.pkg

License information package for a 12-mailbox version of the Cisco Unity Express with VoiceMail application that works with Cisco Unified CallManager. For all Cisco Unity Express modules: AIM-CUE, NM-CUE, NM-CUE-EC & NME-CUE.

For Callmanager Express - CME (which you have)

cue-vm-license_xxmbx_cme_3.0.2.pkg

License information package for a 12-mailbox version of the Cisco Unity Express with VoiceMail application that works with Cisco Unified CallManager Express. For all Cisco Unity Express modules: AIM-CUE, NM-CUE, NM-CUE-EC & NME-CUE

This should show (when integrating with CCM);

Application mode: CCM or CUCM

This should show (when integrating with CME **which is what you have);

Application mode: CME or CCME

You can download the proper license for CME from the page I linked above :)

The system will be brought to offline state for a brief period

and will be brought back to online state automatically

No work order produced.

The system is back in online state

ERROR - Hot Installation failed.

Service Module is Cisco Integrated-Service-Engine0/0

Service Module supports session via TTY line 2

Service Module is in Steady state

Service Module heartbeat-reset is enabled

To add to the replies, you need to re-install & configure if you would like to integrate with CCM instead of CME.

Hi David,

You can't actually "update" the license as Ashok nicely noted. (+5 points here Ashok :)

Here is the pertinant clip;

If your system is already configured, you cannot change the license type from Cisco Unified Communications Manager to Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express. To make that change, you must reinstall and reconfigure the system. The data cannot be restored. However, you can change the license type prior to running the initialization wizard.

Hi Rob,

If I reinstall and reconfigure the system, is it affecting the configuration on the router or only the service module itself ?

I ve tried to restore factory default for the module but still unable to update the license.

What does it mean with reinstall and reconfigure the system actually ?

This should effect the Module only. I believe you would need to use the software install clean method;

1. Restore to factory default

2. software install clean method
