CUE support for G.729 calls

Folks,

I have a ccme/cue system talking to callmanager cluster over the WAN. When phones registered with the callmanager call phones connected to ccme, and if the ccme user does not pic up the call gets disconected. I have g.729 configured over the WAN.

I have additional DSPs on the ccme router where cue is, my question is that since the cue only supports g.711 can i do transcoding for calls that are forwarded to voicemail? anything i can so that calls are send with g.729 compression over the wan and then converted to g.711 if they have to go to voicemail.

Thanks

Yes you will need to do transcoding.

Here is a good link.

Sankar,

I configured transcoding as suggested by the doc you sent me, but it still does not work, when the call is forwarded to voicemail, it disconnects, can you think of any other reason?

here is the output of show dsp all.

Correct me if I'm wrong but in your particular case you got

IP Phone--CallManager--g.729--(CME)-CUE

I think you should register the transcoder with the callmanager

Callmanager already has a transcoder configured.

Thanks,
