Greetings,
CME + CUE (v2.2). Every time someone leaves a VM and presses "#" for options he/she is presented with option "1" for normal delivery or "2" for urgent marking. And after one of those options is chosen, the VM gets delivered and the caller is transferred to the "voicemail operator number" or to the AA-pilot (if there is auto attendant). I don't want the caller to be transferred to the "voice mail operator" but just deliver the voicemail message and disconnect the call. Is this achievable?

Is the initial call being handled by an AA script? I think that the script would need an end command after the menu item. Just a guess.

The initial call is answered by the receptionist and then transferred to VM. There is no AA on this system.
