Data link with Siemens EWSD

Two cisco 2621XM are connected using a PCM connection to a Siemens EWSD telephonic exchange.

Inside the Siemens exchange the timeslots on each PCM are connected one by one (1<->1; 2<->2 ...).

router no. 1 (VWIC-2MFT-E1)

controller E1 0/2

framing NO-CRC4

clock source line primary

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-3

interface Serial0/2:0

ip address 192.168.100.37 255.255.255.252

router no. 2 (NM-2CE1T1-PRI)

controller E1 1/0

framing NO-CRC4

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-3

interface Serial1/0:9

ip address 192.168.100.38 255.255.255.252

If for the channel-group it is used only 1 TS (1 or 2 or 3 ) - every time is ok (ping successfull).

For more than one TS per channel-group the connection is not working:

- both sides line is always up

- one side line protocol is always down; on the other side line protocol does up and down.

If you do not have any suggestion, any documentation links are welcome.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Data link with Siemens EWSD

There are different ways to manage TEIs. Some ISDN Switches wait until they reach TEI = 119 and then they check for alive ISDN devices and remove the others to get free TEI values. The EWSD ISDN Switch from Siemens checks the TEIs every 600 seconds

Since the Response from the Cisco Router does not find its way to the ISDN Switch, the Switch sends an IDREM, even if there is an active call.
