Database Layer Monitor hangs during startup 3.1.3a to 3.3.2 upgrade.

I'm in the middle of moving to a new publisher installed with 3.3.2->3.3.3

I followed the recommend process to the T!

Upon bootup, I see that the Database Layer Monitor service hangs in a "Starting" state.

I thought maybe AdminUtility.exe might have been my answer but I can't find it on the system.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

I had a problem with that service hanging. Sorry for the vagueness, but all I remember was that it was a bug in 3.3.2.

I have the same problem.

I used aupair.exe -service twice to delete and recreate this service. This service is restarted every time you access the CCM Admin GUI.

In my case, it changed the Service logon account to LOCALSYSTEM, and the service does not start automatically.

So finally what I did is the following

1) Set the service startup to Manual

2) Configured the CCM GUI to automatically start on system restart

3) Configured the explorer not to prompt for user/password so that you are logged in automatically and hence, your DBL service starts automatically.

No problems since then!
