DB Lookup - Setting up

Can any one help?

I am setting up a DB Lookup node and am configuring the 'Database' entries within the RT Setting application.

Does anyone know how the following default values are defined? and what the implications of changing them are? AbandonTimeout 5000 (secs)

Timeout 350 (secs)

Threads 5

An SQL Lookup timeout of 350 secs seems a bit long...

I guess these values are arrived after evaluvating various factors like machine performance, database size, indexes, etc.,

May be 350 ms is decided optimal for many installations. I would only suggest you to contact Cisco if you want to fine tune these values as changing these values w/o proper understanding might jeopardise your network.
