Dead Air when using 7935 with software conference bridge.

I have a customer that is using their 7935 conference phone with the CM software conference bridge. The problem they are having is with softly spoken people (women mainly). Other people in the conference hear dead air or clipped speach when they are talking. This happens when all participants are on the same LAN/CM so I don't believe this to be a Gateway issue. I have checked the silence suppression parameters and these are turned off (false). Does anyone know if there is any way of increasing the microphone sensitivity of the 7935 or any other work arounds ??
