debug isdn q931

Here is my scenario:

phone--PBX---2600gateway---IP---PSTN gateway

I have turned on "debug isdn q931" and captured the info as follows:

Mar 6 00:39:45.068: Calling Party Number i = 0x2180, '4087642519', Plan:ISDN,Type:National

Mar 6 00:39:45.072: Called Party Number i = 0x80, '8140874', Plan:Unknown, Type:Unknown

Question is; the "Called Party Number" is the number received by gateway from PBX ? or the number which gateway sends out to PSTN ? Thanks for all inputs.

Re: debug isdn q931

called party number is destination number (dnis) whether it is received by the gateway or sent to the pstn depends on the direction of the call. If the setup message that contains the information is coming from the pbx (RX with respect to q931 debug) then the pbx is passing that nuber to the gateway. If the gateway is sending the setup message (TX) then the gateway is passing the number to the pbx.
