New install of Unity 2.46. We are a school district and will have all schools main numbers pointed at our PRI with a call handler set up with the schools own greeting.

When a call comes in for High School 1 - the appropriate greeting plays. However, if the caller "screws up" and dials a wrong extension, the callers hears "Sorry, I did not recognize that as a valid entry." Then, the caller is directed to the Opening Greeting call handler and plays that greeting.

Is there a way around this and direct that caller back to the greeting that they came from, ie to High School 1 Main Greeting call handler? The callers are dialing the wrong extension, then not listening the the Opening Greeting and getting directed to a different place.

We will have 28 different call handlers set up for each of our buildings. Currently, the Opening Greeting is a general greeting for the entire school district.

Thanks,

Ken Benich
Network Services
School City of Hammond
Hammond, Indiana
Yep. There is a way to change it, but not through the SA. Grab the BulkEdit utility off of www.answermonkey.net. You should be able to change where the caller is going to be sent from the \Greetings\Error tab. You can make the destination the same for all subscribers and call handlers, or you can make it different for different subscribers and call handlers.
No in 2.x... the "error" greeting is not exposable in the SA. In 3.x you can set a registry value that will expose the error greeting in the SA for all users and you can change them individually. By default they are not exposed.
In 2.x land the BulkEdit tool is your only option I'm afraid.
Could you please post the registry entry that will allow this to be exposed? We have several different call handlers and would like to be able to send the caller back to the appropriate call handler should they mis-dial a number.
There's a utility on www.answermonkey.net in the General Tools section labled "Edit Hidden Registry Settings". This has a setting called "Expose the error greeting for subscribers on the SA" and it will take care of the registry edit for you. That should do it as long as the system is 3.X.
If you're not using Unity 3.x (I'm guessing that's the case since you posted in the 2.x board) you'll have to use BulkEdit off AnswerMonkey.net to get at the error greetings. It's a little cumbersome but the SA in 2.x has no capability of showing the error greeting so this is you're own option unless you can get to 3.x.
Are you getting this error “Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported. The installer cannot run in this UI mode. To specify the interface mode, use the -i command-line option, followed by the UI mode identifier. The value UI mode identifiers...
The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
