Hi,
I have a problem with the tftp option (66) on the DHCP server. The phones just dont get it so i have to configure tftp server address manually. When i connect a pc to the same vlan i do get the tftp's address. Is it possible that ip phones dont work properly with a UNIX dhcp server?
Thanks in advance
Marina

Hi,
For TFTP, you need to configure OPTION 150 instead of 66. Here is a URL that will help you with the DHCP options:
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/AVVID/win2000_dhcp.html

Hi Scott,
Thanks for your help. I will try it tomorrow...I always used 66 on win 2000 and it worked fine though..

Hi,
You can try using option 66 with ip address instead of DNS. It's working fine here.
