Dial-Peer Statement

Ma Bell is at it again... my once 7 digit local toll calls are now 10 digits +1.

example: 94481212 would go out 90. Now caller must dial 918144481212 which hits dial peer 92. I would like for the callers to not have to dial the additional 1814 to complete the call.

How can I force a call out a specific dial-peer without hitting each Dial-Peer until it gets a match ?

dial-peer voice 90 pots

destination-pattern 9[2-9]..

progress_ind alert enable 8

port 2/0:23 (local calls)

!

dial-peer voice 92 pots

destination-pattern 918.........

port 4/1:23

prefix 18

Re: Dial-Peer Statement

You can use a prefix if you alter your destination pattern a bit.

If you define your destination as 9[2-9]......$ which forces a specific 7 digit long match, you can then prefix the 1+ area code.

Your dial peer would then look like this:

dial-peer voice 90 pots

destination-pattern 9[2-9]......$

progress_ind alert enable 8

prefix 1814

port 2/0:23
