Greetings,
Having an expensive problem routing calls out port 4/1:23 long distance. Both my local and ld are going out 2/0:23 local.... ouch !
I can watch the calls on voice port 2/0:23 and sure enough the long distance is right in there along with the local.
Dial-peer voice 90 pots
destination-pattern 9.
progress_ind alert enable 8
port 2/0:23
Dial-peer voice 91 pots
destination-pattern 91.
port 4/0:23
prefix 1
IOS 12.1(3a)
Cisco 7206vxr
CM 3.0(8)

What do your route patterns look like?

Why not try this instead:
dial-peer voice 90 pots
destination-pattern 9[2-9]......
progress_ind alert enable 8
port 2/0:23
!
dial-peer voice 91 pots
destination-pattern 91..........
port 4/0:23
prefix 1
And if you want to allow international calls then make another one with pattern 9011T pointing to whichever PRI you wish.

Dave,
You R the man !!!!
yes by specifying the range for local forces 91.. long distance calls to go out port 4/0:23.
Thanks !
Rick
On the international example does the T "pause" ?

No, the T means any number of digits. That will allow for the fact that other countrie's dial plans have variable lengths.
