dial-peers

When setting up dial-peers for outgoing calls over FXO's I have used the preference command, and if one port is in use it will go to the other, that works fine. My questions is, if you have 2 pri's coming into a single router, can you use the preference command? So if all the channels on one pri are in use it will go to the next pri? I haven't done it yet and just wanted to see if anyone else has. Thanks.

Sure you can you treat the voice-port 0:23 or 1:23 just like any voice port. so

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destnation-pattern 1...

direct-inward-dial

preference 1

port 0:23

and

dial-peer voice 2 pots

destination-pattern 1...

direct-inward-dial

preference 2

port 1:23

will work okay. Note direct-inward-dial is important for ISDN
