Digits dial after call setup

Has anyone ever came across this. I have an analog phone connected to an FXS port on a 1760 router. When I dial the analog phone from an IP phone the phone will ring but when I pick up I hear the tones for "7099" which is the DN for the analog phone before I can start a conversation. When I do the reverse, analog to IP phone all goes well?

Any ideas

Cheers Ryan

Re: Digits dial after call setup

make the destination pattern on the POTS dial peer specific to the full called number - you probably have something like this -

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern ....

port 1/0/0

change it to :

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 7099

port 1/0/0

!

If this is not practical, use the command 'forward-digits none' on the POTS dial peer that points to the FXS port.

The POTS dial peer normally strips off all explicitly matched digits, but wildcard matches are not so in the case of a destination pattern of .... or similar, the digits are not stripped and you hear them in the handpiece.

Thanks,

It was the forward digits all that I had on the peer.
