Directory Handler

I am working on a Unity and CCM 3.0(11) TSP When forwarding a message by option 5 after hearing the message you are prompted to "spell the name of a person or distribution list", at this point if you make a unique match on the name Unity only replies with "added" not a confirmation. A confirmation is what should be given.

Directory Handler>Match list Option>On a unique match, Request caller input first is selected.

Directory Handler>Match list Options>Announce mached names using, menu format is selected.

Directory Handler>Search Options, First name,Last is selected.

Can you help?

Re: Directory Handler

Couple of things here…

First, the directory handler settings your talking about don’t have any bearing on the subscriber message forwarding conversation. The directory handler options are specifically for outside (unidentified) callers searching for a subscriber by name. Any settings in here don’t affect any part of the subscriber conversation.

There is a registry setting you can change that will affect the default subscriber conversation behavior such that the name of the user selected will be played back even if it was the only match (some folks find this annoying). Here’s a post on how to do that: name confirmation&Match=Entire Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=4627

If hacking up the registry makes you nervous, you can pop out to AnswerMonkey and snag the registry edit tool which has this registry option available to set.
