does it matter to follow number pattern in creating directory number for a specific partition? can i use two(2) the same dn for the same partition? what is the rule in creating directory number? thanks

Hi,

You can have shared lines, these lines always have identical DNs. Please refer to this link for DN configuration:

However there are some guidelines you need to follow when configuring a dial plan. A telephony system must be configured so that any extension can be reached in an unambiguous manner. On the CUCM SRND there's a chapter dedicated to dial plan configuration and explains some requirements and best practices. Please refer to:
