Disable Unity Port??!!??

Let say we have 16 ports license for Unity3.1, but I just want to use 4 ports now.

So how to disable 12 ports.

Thanks in advance.

Check this, you can specify the ports to be "Out of Service". http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity31/sag/sag31/sag_0260.htm#xtocid11

Also, on the PBX create only four VM ports.

Re: Disable Unity Port??!!??

I can't think of any real reason not to use all licensed ports for a live deployment, however, there is nothing forcing you to create & configure all licensed ports in UTIM. When you are walked through that step during installation (or after-the-fact, you can always fire up UTIM) just ensure Unity only has 4 ports created.

This is probably easier than creating unused ports & setting them out of service, and is typically what I do when I want to set up 1 or 2 ports as a quick test to prove a working integration.

Re: Disable Unity Port??!!??

You can use UTIM only if you have Unity 4.0.x, looks like the original question was for 3.1
