Disabling PC Port on a 7940/7960 Phone

Is there a way of disabling the PC Switch port on a 7940 phone on CCME. I know this can be done with call full blown call manager. If not will i have to mess arround with VLAN authentication or some other method of authentication to restict access to the pc port

sorry this is currently not supported. It should be available in CME 4.0.

You can try hacking the XMLDefault7960.cnf.xml or the MACaddress.cnf file on the flash of the router. You will have to tftp it to your PC, make changes, and then tftp it back to the CME router. Then, create config files again and then reset the phone. Have not tried it and not sure if it will work, but it is worth a shot.
