Disabling screen on incoming/outgoing calls?

Hello,

We are developing apps for the Cisco 7960 IP Phone. Part of 1 app involves sending data from 1 phone to another which pops up a message on the other phone along with a few SoftKey buttons in which 1 says "CALL" which when pressed, will dial the phone

that sent the message. The problem is, is that when a call is sent to the sending phone or the sending phone calls the receiving phone, as soon as someone answers the phone, my screen is replaced with the call info screen and all my SoftKeys are gone

too.

Is there anyway, when you answer a call to keep the existing screen and SoftKey buttons there?

Thanks.

Re: Disabling screen on incoming/outgoing calls?

Once you have answered a call, if you were previously using an IP Phone Service, it will be exited and you will be taken back to the normal SoftKey set so functions can be performed such as Hold, EndCall, Transfer, Confrn, etc. which would not be possible while using the IP Phone Service.
