DMA Install fails

Hi

I am trying to install DMA 5.1.3 on a CCM 4.1(3).The installation fails complaining that the server is not a publisher. Checking the logs it appears that when it checks the registry settings to verify if the server is a publisher the Publisher entry and the Computername entry does not match one has a name the other an IP address. see attached.

I tried it on a CCM build where both enteries are the same and it installs OK

What is the effect of changing the Registry settings for the publisher entry to the name of the server. Or is there another work around ?

I'm not sure of the consequences with that value and haven't seen an issue like this before.

Just a note on DMA - If you don't have the 5.1.3 install DVD you will run into problems if you're running 4.1(3)sr5. You can't go to anything older that 5.1.3 otherwise you'll have problems due to device updates in 4.13sr5.

Hi thanks for the tips. I changed the registry setting and it installed OK.
