Do i need transcoder if both call managers is in G729 region

Hi,

I have two different call managers in two sites support G.711 calls for LAN and G.729 for WAN.

I have set a intercluster trunk using G.729 region between the Call Managers. Do i still need a transcoder ? I try to make calls via G.729 and get a fast busy tone. If I use G.711, the calls are successful.

On your intercluster trunks, do you have the checkbox checked next to "Media Termination Point Required"? If so, uncheck it on both sides and reset. Try the 729 call again.
