Has anyone noticed that if you're in Unity, you can opt to h it ## to toggle from "spell a name" mode to "dial the extension" mode. However, this doesn't seem to work when dialing in from outside. In other words, you must be on an IP phone.

Do you mean dialing into Unity as an outside caller?
The ## feature is available only when you are logged into the TUI as a subscriber.
When dialing from a non-ip phone, are you calling into the system, and then signing into your mailbox or are you trying to hit the ## on the opening greeting?

It could also be a timing issue... if you're calling in from a cell phone for instance the time between the two #s may be too slow and Unity is acting on them as individual keypresses instead of a double-key press. Here's a post on how to adjust the timing for that if this matches what you're seeing:

Jeff,
Can you cross-reference the link about to the new forum? The link above is broken.
Thanks,

Actually, you don't need that post... you can just open the Advanced Settings Tool and select the "adjust interdigit delay" value and stick in, say 350 to bump it up a bit (it defaults to 250 milliseconds). If you're running on an older version of Unity that doesn't ship with the Advanced Settings Tool you can download it here:
