Doubt about RTP Header-Compression

Mister

When I have call of Voice over IP crossing a MPLS Network , where both end has differents access , by example , in one end ATM and the other site Frame-Relay .

Is possible to configure RTP Header-compression in both end ?

I understand than the RTP header-compression is configured in Interfaces only , not in dial-peers ?

Best Regards

Re: Doubt about RTP Header-Compression

Yes, you are right! It is configured only on the IP links on both ends. In this case you may have to do it between two IP links crossing mpls and frame relay cloud.

Check this url for an example

Re: Doubt about RTP Header-Compression

you need to run Multilink PPP over ATM/Frame relay to allow the header compression and fragmentation to interwork properly between the ATM and the Frame relay networks.

Have a look here -
