DSP to convert codec

I want to configure codec convert on the router so that G.729 call can hit Unity as a G.711 codec. The gateway router doesn't have PSTN module. Is there a way that I can order DSM SIMM without buying a PSTN(HDV T1 Module)?

Thanks

Re: DSP to convert codec

You could turn on transcoding in the Unity, provided that the Unity Configuration(#ports, CPU, Memory) would withstand the extra load.

But customer wants to avoid transcoding in the Unity. Any way. Thanks

I think you are going to need to use a physical transcoder, in the form of a VG200, NM-HDV-DSPFARM, or a 6608 port etc.

Yes, that's what I need.

Thanks a lot.
