Duplicate message problem

We have a Unified Unity 4.0(2) connected to Exchange2000 off box and Call Manager. When a user recieves a message and chooses to play back over the phone the message is played back but a copy of the message is delivered to their inbox addressed from Unity Messaging System.This only happens the first time the message is played. The site is also experiencing delayed MWI and message delivery but we think this may be network related.

Any ideas?

I'm not sure I understand your description here...

They end up with _two_ copies of the voice message in their inbox after playing it back over the phone? Or were you expecting to not see a message in the user's inbox if they accessed it over the phone interface? All voice mail messages are delivered to the inbox of the user regardless unless I'm misunderstanding your description here...
