A VWIC-1MFT-E1 is a digital card and must be used in a NM-HDV (High Density Digital Voice) module.

Your NM-2V card is an analog card used for analog VICs like FXO, FXS or E&M ports.

This url will give you what slots will support the VWIC-1MFT-E1

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_data_sheet09186a0080091b9c.html.

Depending upon the use the MFT card might be applicable in a normal WIC slot. This will turn it into a normal E1 usable for WAN connections. The voice capabilities will not be usable unless it's in a VWIC/HDV module.

OK thanks for the reply that minds that the MFT boards only use NMHDV to support Voice capabilities ? Because I read a document in the following link

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps259/products_data_sheet09186a0080091b9c.html and I understand that I can use the board with the chassis WIC slot or I`wrong ?

Thanks

You are correct, you can use them in a wic slot as an normal E1/WAN card.

If you would like to use it in a voice application you will need an NM-HDV.

Thansk for your reply you was very helpfull.

Now I understand perfectly.

Thanks again.

You can also use the card in a wic slot as a voice card. You need an

AIM-VOICE30 in the router also.

Here is additional info if you use the AIM card and the VWIC-MFT in a WIC slot 0 instead of the NM-HDV in slot 1:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t8/ft_04gin.htm#21054

So that means that can I use it in a VoIP application ? Its true ?

Thanks
