E911/CER- Anyone really using it? Questions

Wondering if anyone has gone through the rigors of putting this into production? How was the implimentation? How did it test out? Satisfied? Please comment.

From the TAC side of the house, yes, I have been assisting 2 customers that are actively deploying the CER solution. After a few initial configuration issues, we now have the CER solution working. As for how satisfied...hard to say. You really can't tell how well it works until you have an emergency. In the testing we have done, it worked as expected.

We are evaluating the product also. We were informed that with our assignmnet of DIDs to each device that an additional set of DIDs were needed to enable the CER to send the cubicle location to the PSAP with the 911 call. Other plans can be used where you build zones in your building and the PSAP would know a general zone from where the 911 call originated. We have a great deal of employee movement in our building and desired the cubicle location option, but not the cost of the additional DIDs. We are still evaluating though.
