I have remote sites with legacy DN ranges that are disjointed. What is the most efficient method (with respect to call processing) of covering all DNs to a site? A single monolithic xlation pattern, or a series of more targeted and specific ranges? For example: DN range 3100 - 3199 & 3500 - 3700. Would 3XXX be better, or would 31xx & 3[5-7]xx be the more efficient?
It depends on wheater there is an overlap in the 3XXX range for other devices. If not this will be the most efficient since as soon as you dial 3X this pattern will be matched, and you only need one TP instead of 2. If there is a possible overlap in 3XXX range such as 3300, I would suggest going with the 2 TPs.
