Can we automate the log off from the extension mobility the moment user log off from the PC?
Example: My users are logged on to extension mobility and using international dialing. Before leaving for the day they forget to logout from the ip phone and some other user misuse the phone for international dialing.
I want if they logoff from their PC they should automatically kicked out from the ip phone as well.
I have got web interface which could kick them out remotly but is there anyway i can use this in their windows logout script?
It is recommended that you direct your users to log in to their phones at the beginning of the work day. This practice ensures that their user device profile gets loaded on their phone. If they make changes to their profile on the Cisco CallManager User Options window, the changes will apply wherever they log in again. The change will not be applied if the user is already logged in.
If the User Locale associated with the login user or profile is not the same as the locale or device, after a successful login, the phone will perform a restart followed by a reset. This occurs because the phone configuration fill is being rebuilt. Add-on module mismatches between profile and device may have the same behavior.
You can establish a time limit so that Cisco CallManager Extension Mobility automatically logs out users after a certain time throughout the cluster:
At the Enforce Maximum Login Time, choose True to specify a maximum time for logins and then set the maximum login time. Enable Auto Logout.

Thanks a lot for the reply But, my issue is a bit different. I understand that we can do it this way but the only issue is that, there are some really dumbo users who dont even remeber to login and miss calls and then forget to logoff and then other people misuse the phone.
I need something which could automate the EM login/logoff and could integrate with the windows.
The logoff process is insecure you can send a url to callmanager in the form of:
Do you allow some form of static configuration?
i.e. a config-file with the mac-address of the phone and/or the profile name?
If so, we can take it offline to discuss
I can make a program that can login/logoff a Extension Mobility profile on an IPPhone.
This program can be started in the startup/logoff script and could use parameters stored in a config file, such as mac-address of phone and profilename
Logon is fine but can you logout using the logoff script of windows 2k3?
because when you are logging off from the system is start killing all the running application so at that time no new application can be launched.
There are some 3rd party utility which can make this happen but now the issue is how can you assign a policy on a domain level because each user has a different username and mac address.
Do you think that all this can be automated?
could/would you use a .ini file stored on the users pc?
then the script can grab these parameters for logoff
(for logoff you only need the macaddress anyway)
