EM Service on CCM 5.0.4

Has anybody used the webservice manually? According to the developer guide, you still use the same url as on CCM 4.x, and while I can connect and send queries just fine, all I ever get back is an "error code 0, other parser failure, Connection refused".. imho that's BS.. I can connect, make the post so connection wise we're fine. I also verified that the user I'm using for the authentication has em proxy rights. According to the developer's guide, error 0 stands for "unknown error", and that's just how I feel right now.. clueless.

Hi Stephan,

Did you ever manage to get this fixed? I'm currently having the same issue.

I've tried a few things outside of IE and it looks fine and I'm runing out of things to try... I've tried different http versions in the header, I've tried adding an x509 certificate, I've tried sniffing with Wireshark... etc. etc. but to no avail... Any thoughts you have greatly appreciated.

Regards...

Darren.

Well after thinking I tried everything and mailing the forum, I finally managed to fix it...

Basically, the user id I'm using for the log off should be in the "Standard EM Authentication Proxy Rights" group (as the documentation actually does say, but I missed it first time round).

This in itself didn't fix it, I also had to specify the port number of the EMService too, for example:

http://serverip:8080/emservice/EMServiceServlet?xml=myuseridmypasswordSEP000123456789

Hope that helps someone....

Regards,

Darren.
