How can I confirm that Unity has successfully done its part to send out the email notification to a user that has a new voicemail message? At one point users were being notified that they had new voicemail messages by receiving an email but now they do not receive these notifications. Notification via phone is working. Below are portions of a Unity trace durring a test for notification via Text Pager and Text for VMI. I would appreciate any help. (Unity 3.1(5), off box Exchange Server 2000, Lotus Notes)
Chatted with the messaging folks about this, heres what they had to say.
The e-mail notifications go out through the Unity_(server name) account, so the first thing to do is use the Exchange message tracking in the system manager to see if the message from that account is hitting Exchange 2000.
If its not, then turn on Alcommin, DOH and MalEX level 10 diags these will show if the message being sent is failing. These traces will show up in the AvCsMgr diag log on a 3.x system (the notifier is in its own process in later versions of Unity).
Thanks for your response! I performed the Exchange message tracking as you suggested. It showed events for the vmbx you listed and the email address configured for notification. These events included "SMTP: Started Outbound Transfer of Message" and "Message transfered to Odapiesnd01.dankaind.com though SMTP"

The short answer is that you don't.... That isn't entirely true while at
the same time it kind of is, but for the most part you don't configure
the softkeys. You enable or disable them via TCL. Here is the long
answer. Be sure to read the whole thing or e...
