Enterprise Viewmail Installation

Are there tools to implement the Viewmail forms to the entire enterprise. If not what can be done to automate this implementation?<br><br>thanks<br><br>

Folks have used tools such as SMS to push install VMO to clients in the field, but you're on your own for doing that (SMS is pretty messy to use and if you're not familiar with it, it can be challanging). There's no built in method of automating the push install of VMO to client desktops at this point.

We have decided not to push VMO, what I have done is create a wrapper program, you can do a batch file to do this, to create the folder, use the command line parameters and modified the install files to accept the defaults. when the person clicks on the short cut it intalls it silently. Not everyone has multimedia or wants to use VMO. This way users can pull the install rather than getting it pushed on to their desktop.

If you wanted to get REALLY fancy you could even have it hack in the registry settings to point the TRAP session at the Unity server so the users don't even have to fill that info in when they go to connect... that's a bit advanced, though...
