What equipment would you guys recommend for a small office of only 6 users that need local phone numbers. We were thinking a 2811 but is there something less expensive.
We have cetralized Unity version Unity 4.2(1.0) and Callmanager version CM: 5.1.2.3000-2 setup.
Thanks

Hi Justin,
The 1861 will work for a very small Branch Offices (8 phones max) but many people would opt for a 2801 for expansion purposes (support for 24 phones);
Cisco 1861 Integrated Services Routers
Q. What is the Cisco 1861?
A. The Cisco 1861, which is part of the Cisco 1800 Series Integrated Services Router portfolio, is a unified communications solution targeted at small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and enterprise small branch offices. This solution provides voice, data, voicemail, Automated-Attendant, video, and security capabilities while integrating with existing desktop applications such as calendar, e-mail, and customer relationship management (CRM) programs. This platform takes full advantage of business-class, proven unified communications technologies and supports flexible deployment models based on your needs-a wide array of IP phones, public switched telephone network (PSTN) interfaces, and Internet connectivity.
Core components include the following:
⢠Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CME) or Cisco Unified Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) for call processing

Thanks for the quick response. I am not very familier with voice setups we usually have other guys that do it. Want modules would we need? Assumming we went with a 2801? This router would be plugged into a pri. Basically looking at what i would need to order.
Thanks

Hi Justin,
Good stuff! I would recommend engaging a Cisco Certified Partner to help you with your required equipment order. Attached is a nice BOM from fellow NetPro Deji for a 2811 with VWIC for PRI connectivity. Keep in mind you would only require a PVDM-32 for your needs :)
Hope this helps!
