I have an error message on my 1750 router in VOIP Configuration.
What is this mean :
%C54x-1-NO_RING_DESCRIPTORS:
No more ring descriptors available on 0 slot
%VTSP-3-DSP_TIMEOUT:
DSP timeout on event 6: DSP ID=0x2: DSP error status.

The C54x digital signal processor (DSP) driver cannot queue messages up to the transmit direct memory access (DMA) engine for transmission.

Depending on which IOS you are running and what features you have turned on this error appears. It generates from a DSP problem on the mother board of the 1750. 12.2T train has this problem and so did some very earlier releases of IOS on 1750. Also sometimes cRTP and fast switching together cause this problem to occur.....try to turn off cRTP if you have it or turn on "no ip route-cache" and reload the box and see if it happens still. The latest 12.2 mainline may also be a remedy. We need to analyze this more in terms of your IOS version and your features so if this does not help, feel free to open a case w/ the TAC.
Hope this helps.
