Estimating the voice critical parameters delay, jitter, etc.
VoIP has rather strong demands on delay, jitter, .... The practical requirements are much stronger then the proposed by the common standards. How these parameters can be measured in a convenient manner, without using expensive test devices. Which tools offer the best results and are usefull in troubleshooting.

Apart from the SNMP stuff out of CM and Phones.
One tool I have found useful For WAN measurment is SAA.
You could test LAN's using small routers as testing probes.
Its FREE in your routers and the test traffic can be set up to emulate Voice calls with the Correct size payload and QOS parameters. Then Using SNMP you gather the results of the test calls for Jitter (+ and -) , round trip times and One way delay (only when using NTP)
