Expired Password Prompt Looping

Running Unity 3.0.3, with CCM 3.1.2c. User templates/COS require password changes every 60 days (First one occurred yesterday).

The problem: Users dial in, are prompted to change their password, which they do, and receive the "You new password is now active." prompt. They can then listen, create new, etc. When they disconnect and callback to Unity, they are again prompted to change their password.

If you look in SA at the subscriber, the date/timestamp of the last password change has not incremented, but the new password is active. I can not log in with the "old" password, but when I do put in the new one, I again am prompted to change it. If I make the identical change through SA as through the phone, it stops misbehaving and the user is no longer prompted to change the password.

--Cael

This looks like CSCdu71673. Here is the release note from that defect record.

Symptom:

A subscriber calls voicemail via the telephone and is informed that their
password has expired, and to specify a new password. This happens each time
they call into voicemail, even if their password was recently changed.

Conditions:

After a period of time, subscriber phone passwords expire. At this time, the
subscriber with an expired password will be prompted to enter a new one upon
signing in to voicemail over the telephone. After entering their new
password, they are allowed to listen to messages, etc.
However, the next time they call into voicemail, they will be prompted again
to change their password.

Workaround:

If the subscriber has access to the Active Assistant, have them change their
password there. If not, the administrator can reset the subscriber's password
in the System Administrator and set the password to "Never expire."
