Extension Mobility - 2 lines on a 7940

I have extension mobility enabled on all my 7940 phones. Several users have device profiles with two lines, but even though the phone button configuration is configured as a 2-line phone it only gets the first line when logged on. If I go into the phone config after the user logs on and update it to a 7940 2-line the second extension shows up.

As soon as I logout and login, I'm back to 1 line.

Of course it takes about a minute for the login prompt to come up, but I have a case for that open.

Sounds like you are running into CSCdv56387. It looks like it is resolved in 3.1(3a). What version of Cisco CallManager are you running?

I was running 3.1.2c and upgraded to 3.1(3a). I still have the problem. Do I dare upgrade to 3.2?

This bug actually added a parameter under the Cisco Extension Mobility service paramaters called "Use 2-line Template for 7940 Login". Set this to true, and it should fix your problem.

BTW, the fix for the long time to get services to come up for phones was the change the url's in Enterprise parameters from http://server_address/CCMUser/ to http://server_address/CCMCIP/
