The current scenario is as follows. There are 2 CCM's, 1 publisher and 1 subscriber. The subscriber is running the extension mobility feature for all the ip phones. However when the subscriber goes down, so does the feature and all the ip phones are stuck in their current state (logged out, or logged in). Is there a way to have the publisher run as a backup for the extension mobility feature? I would appreciate any suggestions.
You cannot have more than one hoteling server (extension mobility server) at one time. So, when the Callmanager working as the hoteling server is down, EM will not work. So, at that time, you can manually go into the DC directory Admin and go into Hoteling profile in System Profile under CCN and change the Hoteling server address.
But if you change this, you will also have to modify the Service URL for Extension Mobility.
