Extension Mobility Login Error 2 w/ AD

Hi Group,

I am having a problem with EM where when a user logs in the phone returns "Login Unsuccessful, Error code 2"

I am aware of what this problem means as my trace files show:

8: Apr 07 15:06:24.353 EDT %EMApp-3-UNK:Unable to find registry entry for AppUserID/Password

I am using Active Directory which is why the users aren't in the registry. There was one other topic on this but there was no answer on how to get AD users to login to EM. Can anyone help?

Thanks

-Russ

Re: Extension Mobility Login Error 2 w/ AD

Hope you have followed the procedure given in the document below :

Enabling Cisco IP Services

Re: Extension Mobility Login Error 2 w/ AD

Did you perform an upgrade of CCM and changed the password for dc directory and administrator (or CCMAdministrator)?

If you did change the passwords, you need to run the directory plugin again.

Next on the publisher, go to a command prompt and type in CCMPWDChanger. The utility will open up. You will have to give it a second or two and put in the AD password.

In the next screen change the CCMAdmin and CCMSysUser passwords back to the original password

prior to the CCM upgrade when EM was working.

Restart the EM and Tomcat service when done.

I had the same error, when I did an upgrade of CCM3.3.3 to 3.3.4, and decided to change my passwords.

Here is a helpfull link. Hope it helps
